RESEARCH PROJECT
Winter 2023 View online

Starting in January, we join forces with Research Shop at McMaster University, in a project that will investigate the motivations and barriers that bring individuals, parents, and professionals working with children, to preserve, or not, children’s art.

The project will help us better understand what makes a children’s art collection possible, and the key characteristics shared by their proponents. It is our hope that the findings will help us to expand their range of contributors, in the future.

The Research Shop is currently recruiting research team members. Keep an eye on our blog where we will introduce them soon.

Research Shop at McMaster University is a co-curricular program that works with public, non-profit, and community organizations in Hamilton. It supports students with research opportunities in the community.

The details about methodology have yet to be determined, but it will likely include surveys and maybe focus groups. Feel free to contact us if you have a particular insight to share about this initiative, or want to receive more information as the project unfolds.

We would like to thank the Office of Community Engagement at McMaster University for facilitating this partnership.
